Yoga for 55+

Yoga for 55+ is a gentle yoga program for seniors (or anyone with physical challenges) to enhance strength and flexibility. Poses will be modified to suit your individual needs. Anyone of any age is invited to join this class!  This class will proceed slightly slower than the "Gentle  Yoga" class and consist primarily of ViniYoga flows in which the joints are thoroughly lubricated with slow, mindful movement.  Extra time and emphasis will also be placed on community and providing an encouraging atmosphere for all.  All classes provided by a licensed physical therapist.

Therapeutic Yoga

This class is for individuals with or without physical injury or disability who enjoy learning the reasoning behind specific yoga poses and alignment rules.  There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and check in on what you are experiencing.  Each class will focus on a different body part or therapeutic intention.  Therapeutic Yoga blends restorative yoga (supported postures), gentle yoga, breathwork, hands-on healing, and guided meditation techniques.  Students will learn the tools they need to take their yoga "off the mat" or into a home practice.  "Homework" is offered to encourage greater understanding and home practice.  75 minutes.
